Aaron Fletcher has 20 years of professional experience working both in the United States and the United Kingdom.  His expertise include residential, educational, commercial office, and sports buildings.  Following seven years working at two well known London practices, Ahrends Burton Koralek (ABK) and Allies and Morrison, Aaron established his own design studio with two partners - executing high end residential and educational projects in the London area.  In 2009, Aaron established the London office of MANICA Architecture and is the primary contact for European based work and business development.
Aaron also actively works on projects based in the head office. As an example, his experience with MANICA's Kansas City office includes the interior design and fit out for the Music Club at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.  Here, Aaron was responsible for the design and detailed development of the public spaces and VIP Club areas. Following this, Aaron worked on the Shantou University Sports Park, Shantou, China.  His primary responsibility was the design and development of the entire exterior cladding and facade system. The façade design presented highly complex technical and co-ordination issues that he resolved in partnership with the local design team.  As a Director of MANICA, current and recent projects also include the Ekaterinburg Arena (Ekaterinburg, Russia), Paris Red Star Stadium Concept (Paris, France), the NBA Center (Wuqing, China), the Brooklyn Nets Training Facility (Brooklyn, NY), and the Golden State Warriors NBA Arena  (San Francisco, CA).
As a Senior architect Aaron has experience on projects from inception through to completion. He has experience working with clients, contractors, sub-contractors and consultant teams to create successful projects. Enjoying both the conceptual stages and detailed execution of built projects, he is experienced in understanding the visual communication, attention to detail and co-ordination required to create high quality buildings. Key experience in the production of facade design packages is central to his role in the office.  This is coupled with on site experience and an understanding of the practical issues inherent in constructing buildings.
Aaron has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh College of Art) where he graduated having received multiple awards and fellowships. He is a Ewart Scholar and spent a year's travel/study scholarship at the University of Kansas. Aaron has Diploma in Architecture from the University College of London's Bartlett School. He is a registered Architect in the UK, ARB and is a member of the RIBA. He periodically returns to the University of Kansas campus as a guest critic for the architecture students.
